Dr. Ali Gheissari is a recognized thoracic and cardiac surgeon in Los Angeles, California. He received his medical diploma from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1983. Dr. Gheissari completed his medical education with a residency in general surgery at Drexel University – Hahnemann University Hospital and a fellowship in thoracic surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia Campus. He is certified by the American Board in thoracic and cardiac surgery and his sub specialty is general cardiac surgery. Currently, he works at several hospitals in the area, including Huntington Memorial Hospital, Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital and St. Vincent Medical Center. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and of the American College of Surgeons.
