Dr. Amit Patel graduated as a medical student from the Case Western Reserve University and completed both his internship and residency at the Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Patel finished his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. Currently a professor associated with the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine, Dr. Amit Patel has a board certification in thoracic surgery. Dr. Patel is very appreciated among his peers and the medical community due to his research in stem cell transplantation that might be able to treat congestive heart failure.
