Dr. Balasundaram Sekar graduated from Thanjavur Medical College after which he did an internship at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center. He did his residency at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center and Washington University Affiliated Hospitals. He is board-certified in the field of diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology. Currently, Dr. Balasundaram practices at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center and St. Vincent’s, Birmingham.
