Dr. Kaufman graduated the medical school from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine. He did his internship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Affiliated Hospitals and completed his residency program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. A fellowship followed at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center soon after that. He is specialized in Medical Oncology and board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Kaufman has been in practice for more than 20 years.
