Dr. Matthews graduated the medical school from the West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed both his internship and residency program at the Vanderbilt University. A fellowship followed at the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers soon after that. He is specialized in Thoracic & Cardiac Surgery and also board certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery. Dr. Matthews has been in practice for more than 20 years.
