Dr. Julie Taguchi is a recognized medical oncologist in Santa Barbara, California. She received her medical diploma from Keck School of Medicine of USC in 1985. After getting her medical degree, she did an internship at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Los Angeles. Dr. Taguchi completed her medical education with a residency in internal medicine at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, a fellowship in hematology at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles and a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Southern California. She is certified by the American Board in hematology, medical oncology, and internal medicine. Dr. Taguchi works with several hospitals in the area, including Keck Hospital of USC, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, and at Sansum Clinic since 1993. In 2015 she published the article “Afatinib alone or afatinib plus vinorelbine versus investigator's choice of treatment for HER2-positive breast cancer with progressive brain metastases after trastuzum...” in collaboration with other doctors. She is a member of the following medical groups: American Society of Clinical Oncologists, American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.
