Dr. Kristin Olson is a pathologist based in Sacramento, California. She has been practicing medicine for the past 14 years. Dr. Olson graduated in 2003 from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Afterwards, she continued with her residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she specialized in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. She also completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of California at Los Angeles. Her area of expertise is Gastrointestinal Pathology. Dr. Olson is a board-certified specialist in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. She is a member of the following professional organizations: the American Society for Clinical Pathology, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the American Medical Informatics Association, and the California Society of Pathologists. Dr. Olson is also an active researcher. She has contributed to two published studies that focused on indeterminate biliary strictures and sevelamer crystals in the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Olson works as an Assistant Clinical Professor of the Department of Medical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of the UC Davis Medical Center and is also affiliated with the University of California Davis Medical Center.
