Dr. Lorenzo Gonzalez-Lavin graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and then did his residency in General Surgery at the SUNY Upstate Medical University. He also did General Surgery residency and a fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at the Drexel University –Hahnemann University Hospital. He is a board-certified thoracic and cardiac surgeon based in Bonita, California and has been practicing for more than 20 years. At present, he practices at the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center and Sharp Grossmont Hospital. He has also contributed to several research publications.
