Dr. Matthew Powers is a thoracic and cardiac surgeon in Rancho Mirage, California. He received his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine in 2007. Dr. Powers completed his medical education with a residency in general surgery at the University of Southern California – LAC+USC Medical Center, between 2007 and 2012 and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia Campus, between 2012 and 2014. He is certified by the American Board of surgery in thoracic and cardiac surgery. Dr. Powers works at Eisenhower Medical Center since 2015 and has published two articles in collaboration with other doctors. He is a member of the following medical groups: Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American College of Cardiology, International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, American College of Surgeons, American Heart Association and American Medical Association.
