She did her residency program at the Indiana University School of Medicine and also completed a fellowship at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is a board-certified medical oncologist and currently practices at the UCSF Medical Center and San Francisco General Hospital, San Francisco, California. She has also contributed to several research publications.
