Doctor Pedro Valdes graduated at Universidad de Chile Facultad de Medicina in Santiago, Chile in 1968. He completed a residency program at Huntington Memorial Hospital, and a fellowship that was attended in two places: Mt. Auburn Hospital and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is certified in thoracic and cardiac surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is affiliated with Alaska Regional Hospital and Providence Alaska Medical Center, both located in Anchorage. He was awarded by the American College of Surgeons, where he is also a member.
