Biological therapy or immunotherapy, are is a treatment that consists of attacking a particular protein or other cellular components while using inhibitors or other substances in a targeted therapy to remove cancer. Thermal therapies, radio-immunotherapy, and photodynamic therapy can also be included in this category. An important advantage of biological therapy is that it can bypass some of the worst side effects of chemotherapy and other aggressive procedures that are used to treat cancer.
