Pain medications, also known as analgesics, are a group of drugs utilized to treat pain by acting on the central and peripheric nervous system. The most common types of analgesics are paracetamol, or acetaminophen, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs, and opioid drugs, such as morphine and oxycodone.
