SOMAmer Panel test can accurately detect the presence of proteins secreted from cancerous tumors caused by asbestos exposure. The test measures simultaneously over 1,000 proteins in unfractioned biologic samples. The main purpose of this new test is to diagnose mesothelioma at an early stage in order to effectively treat this aggressive cancer.
