Lobectomy Pleurectomy with Decortication (P/D) Thoracoscopy Thoracotomy
Graduating with a medical degree from the University of Washington at St. Louis, she was also a member with the highest honors of the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Wolfer studied as a general surgery resident at the University of Maryland, completing a fellowship and specializing in cardiothoracic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. For her graduation year, she was named by her students as the teaching resident of the year. Having authored several teaching articles, such as Thymic Carcinoma Presenting as Cardiac Tamponade and Recurrent Merkel Cell Carcinoma of the Upper Extremity, she had them reviewed by peers and published in the Southern Medical Journal. Dr. Wolfer is board certified both as a general surgeon and as a cardiothoracic surgeon and currently practices at the Marshall University Medical Center.
