Dr. Richard Belkin is a well-known pulmonologist in Santa Barbara, California. He received his medical diploma from Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 and completed his medical education with a residency in internal medicine at Stanford University and a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Dr. Belkin is certified by the American Board in internal medicine, critical care medicine, and pulmonary disease. He works in several hospitals in the area, including Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and in 2006, he published the article “Risk factors for death of patients with cystic fibrosis awaiting lung transplantation” in collaboration with other doctors. Dr. Belkin is a member of the American College of Physicians and apart from English, he can speak Spanish.
