Dr. Robert Boutin is a radiology specialist in Sacramento, California. His area of expertise includes, but is not limited to musculoskeletal imaging and orthopedic applications of MRI. Dr. Boutin graduated from the medical school of the University of California Davis and completed a residency at the University of New Mexico followed by a fellowship at the UC San Diego, San Diego. He is a board-certified radiologist and is a member of several professional organizations including the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Skeletal Radiology, the International Skeletal Society. Dr. Boutin received numerous awards for his outstanding activity including the Senior Faculty Teaching Award (University of California, Davis Radiology Residents), the Fellow Research Award for Outstanding Performance in Research (University of California, Davis, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery), Magna Cum Laude Award (Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting), Patrick T. Liu Innovation Research Award (Society of Skeletal Radiology). Dr. Boutin has been considerably active in the research area. Some of the topics he covered in his publications are imaging of soft-tissue tumors, imaging of bone tumors, magnetic resonance imaging of the postoperative meniscus, MRI findings of serous atrophy of bone marrow. Dr. Boutin is currently affiliated with the University Of California, Davis.
