Dr. Ronald Gertsch is a recognized general surgeon in San Diego, California. He received his medical diploma from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1972. Prior to that, he was granted the BS (Bachelor of Science) degree from Brigham Young University in 1968. After getting his medical degree, he did an internship in internal medicine at Wright – Patterson Medical Center. Dr. Gertsch completed his medical education with a residency in general surgery at the Good Samaritan Hospital, a residency in general surgery at Wright State University in 1977. Between 1977 and 1979, he served as the chief of surgery at Vandenberg Medical Center, USAF, in Santa Maria, California. His specialty is general surgery. The State Medical License issued in California gives him the right of medical practice in that state, his license being active through 2017.
