Dr. Talmadge King is a pulmonologist from San Francisco, California. He has an overall experience of more than two decades in the medical field. He is a top practitioner and a passionate scientist who was involved in several types of research. Dr. King has graduated from the Harvard Medical School and continued his studies with a residency in internal medicine at Grady Health System and a fellowship in pulmonary disease at the University of Colorado. He is board certified in pulmonary disease and internal medicine and licensed to practice in the states of California and Colorado. His outstanding accomplishments in the medical field have been recognized and awarded. He received the Distinguished Chair of Medicine Award from the Association of Professors of Medicine, the Breathing for Life Award from the Foundation of the American Thoracic Society and the Sesquicentennial Award offered by the Gustavus Adolphus College. Dr. Talmadge King is proud to be a member of several famous medical associations such as the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences. He is also a reputable academic, he began teaching at the UCSF School of Medicine where he later became a dean and a vice chancellor for medical affairs. He also collaborated with the Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. He has conducted numerous studies that focused on his area of expertise. Some of his predilect topics are immunologic and inflammatory lung injury, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and interstitial pneumonia, He published more than 300 studies. He has also written a book called Interstitial Lung Disease. Dr. King practices medicine at the San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center and at UCSF Medical Center.
