Dr. Mullett graduated from the Florida State University in 1983 and followed the courses of the University of Florida Medical School, completing his studies in 1987. Dr. Mullett completed his residency there as well and followed that with his fellowship training, at the University of Florida and American Heart Association. Currently the chief of the general thoracic surgery section, Dr. Timothy Mullett has been specializing in cancers of the lungs and thoracic area, including mesothelioma. Dr. Mullett has been board certified in general and thoracic surgery. Before his civil career, Dr. Mullett served as a captain in the US Army Medical Corps.
